The study examines the multicultural elements of the new style of composition after 1927 with the evolving "zarzuela grande" in Cuba, the Afro-Cuban elements and popular rhythms, as well as the European musical patterns that are present in these pieces. The translation and IPA of the lyrics is also provided. This compilation is the first one on the field since most of the pieces have never been published or musically analyzed.
