Book excerpt: The annual Polisth Heritage Festival in New Jersey is sponsored by the non-profit organization, the Polish American Heritage League (PAHL), incorporated in 1978. The festival has a two-fold purpose of raising money for the "Garden State Cultural Center Fund" and dedicated to the state's solidarity of freedom with the courageous people of Poland. The Garden State Cultural Center Fund provides programs for school children, senior citizens and blind and disabled veterans in New Jersey. PAHL is a vast human resource of men and women who give freely of their time and energy to each year produce an interesting and entertaining program of Polish cultural diversity.
