Book excerpt: Excerpt from Minutes of the Fifty-Fifth Annual Session of the Original Shiloh Missionary Baptist Association: Held With the Brookston Baptist Church, Greystone, N. C., September 22, 23 and 24, 1925 The most encouraging and outstanding thing in this Association was a boy fifteen years old who was introduced to the Association, who acknowledge that God had called him to preach the Gospel. The Association was very proud of him, and several men pledged to give him the cost of one month's schooling. He is now attending the County Train ing school at Wise, N. C. Those who pledged a month's schooling are as follows: Rev. C. C. Clark, Miss Mary M. Garns, supervisor-of War ren county, Brother J. B. Jordan. Rev. B. Harper said he would help some. Rev. V. Walker said his church, Belton Creek, would give two months schooling. Prof. G. E. Cheek responded to the sayings.
