The hikes included range from the San Francisco Peaks north of Flagstaff to the south slopes of the Black Hills and from the Sycamore Basin in the west to Pivot Rock Canyon in the West Clear Creek watershed along the Mogollon Rim in the east. Included were several sections of the General Crook National Trail, some surprising Indian ruins at Henderson Flat in the Sycamore Basin and a visit to the old Alvarez Ranch in the Verde River Canyon north of Sycamore Creek. Finally, in a break from Northern Arizona hikes, I have included two short hikes along parts of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Trail in Wales.
