The town was evacuated as the Turkish army advanced, with possessions and property left where it lay. For forty six years the only people allowed into this area were the Turkish army and United Nations. On 8th October 2020, some parts of the Varosha were opened to all and this collection of photographs document the deserted city at the end of 2020
