Book excerpt: Excerpt from Minutes of the Twenty-Eighth Annual Session of the Unity Baptist Association: Held With Shiloh Baptist Church, Chilton County, Ala;, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 29, 30 and Oct, 1, 1882 The twenty-eighth annual session of the Unity Baptist Association, was held with Shiloh church, Chilton county, Alabama, commencing on Friday, the 29th day of September, 1882. At 11 o'clock a.m. Elder A. Andrews preached the Introductory Sermon, from 6th chapter of Mark, a part of the 50th verse: "Be of good cheer; it is I, be not afraid." After an intermission of one hour for dinner, the Messengers from the churches assembled in the church building. Elder J. Falkner, the Moderator of the last session, called the body to order, and after reading the 2d Psalm and singing the hymn, "Ye Servants of the Lord," prayer was offered by Elder G. W. Mills.
